Kuana Torres Kahele
Kuana Torres Kahele is a former founding member of Na Palapalai who launched a solo career with his first release "Kaunaloa" in 2011. This album contains a collection of songs written by Kuana that represents his life's journey of the past 15 years. It honors his lineage and places where his 'ohana come from. In the 2012 Na Hoku Hanohano awards, Kuana lead all artists with the most nominations. "Kaunaloa" won awards for Album of the Year, Hawaiian Album of the Year and best Linear Notes. Kuana won Male Vocalist of the Year.
